Daniel Quinlan

Daniel Quinlan is a Trainee Solicitor at Crushell & Co Solicitors, a specialist Irish law firm advising clients on workplace accidents, occupational injuries, employer liability, health and safety disputes, and related litigation.

Since joining the firm in February 2025 as a Legal Executive and progressing to the position of Trainee Solicitor in January 2026, Daniel has gained valuable experience supporting clients whose health, employment, and financial circumstances have been affected by accidents or injuries sustained at work.

As part of his traineeship, Daniel assists with workplace accident and injury claims involving unsafe systems of work, inadequate training or supervision, manual handling incidents, defective or poorly maintained equipment, slips and falls, accidents involving workplace vehicles, and failures to provide appropriate protective equipment. He also supports clients where an injury has led to related workplace difficulties, including extended sick leave, capability procedures, reasonable accommodation issues, disputes concerning rehabilitation or return to work, and the termination of employment.

Daniel is involved in the practical preparation and management of claims from initial instruction through to settlement or hearing. His work includes reviewing accident reports and employment records, obtaining relevant documentation, organising medical evidence, identifying and liaising with witnesses, preparing chronologies, undertaking legal research, drafting correspondence and submissions, and compiling books of evidence. He works closely with senior solicitors and barristers to ensure that the factual and legal issues in each matter are thoroughly examined and clearly presented.

Daniel understands that workplace accidents can have consequences extending beyond the immediate physical injury. An injured employee may also experience loss of earnings, medical and rehabilitation expenses, reduced employment prospects, difficulties returning to work, or uncertainty regarding continued employment. He therefore takes a comprehensive approach to each matter, considering both the personal injury claim and any connected employment law issues affecting the client.

Daniel graduated from Maynooth University in 2022 with a First-Class Honours Bachelor of Laws degree. Having successfully completed his FE-1 examinations, he is currently undertaking his professional training through the Law Society of Ireland’s PPC Hybrid Programme at Blackhall Place. Through both his academic studies and practical experience, Daniel has developed a strong interest in workplace injury litigation, employer liability, health and safety obligations, and the rights of employees following occupational accidents.

Daniel is committed to delivering a responsive and client-focused service, helping injured workers navigate complex legal and procedural issues with confidence and clarity. He takes a proactive approach to legal problem-solving and is dedicated to progressing claims efficiently while ensuring that clients remain informed and supported.

Outside of his legal work, Daniel is a passionate sports enthusiast and spends much of his spare time supporting Dublin GAA in Croke Park or playing soccer with his local club.
